We are very lucky that our dogs came with a free home security system, they guard our windows like hawks protecting us from any passersby. Unfortunately, our security system does require some sacrifices.... and in our case it's our blinds.
In the blinds below they have removed all unnecessary blind sections which impede their view.
In the blinds to the left they have removed just a corner in order to provide a more stealthy method of surveillance. 
We do love our dogs but seriously if we were never home I don't think we'd have any blinds left!
