Last Wednesday Logan came down with a cough, that is when our sleepless nights began. His cough progressed to the flu, and then on to an “unidentified” viral infection and a little bit of pneumonia. Zoey started coughing on Saturday.

Zoey’s cough started to improve and then this past Tuesday night turned into shallow breathing and wheezing. After taking her in we found out she had bronchiolitis (increase mucus production that causes swelling and clogging in the smallest parts of the lung’s airways) and needed to put on oxygen, so she and Matt headed to the hospital for an 8 hour oxygen test. They came home with a portable oxygen tank which fortunately she came off of today, but we still need to keep an eye on her over the weekend, just to be safe.
Needless to say, with all the coughing, wheezing, fevers, runny noses, we have not gotten a full nights sleep for over a week now. Matt is the hero in all this because I came down with a bad sinus infection, cough and a fever too so I was pretty much useless. He did most of the holding, feeding, getting up to take care of kiddos hoping I could get more rest and recover. I’m happy to say we are all on the mend and are looking forward to a night of complete rest again!
Now time to start disinfecting!
