We decided to start our own traditions this year. We started with our first Christmas Eve dinner as a family…
Matt and I braved making a turkey. Matt did all the removing of the innards (although we did not find the giblet packet *hidden in the top of the neck* until after we cooked the turkey!) Matt thinks it’s funny I take pictures of the food we make, but I am so proud of how our turkey turned out!!
I also made apple pies (I say pies because the apple pie filling recipe I used made 5 quarts!!) We ate one, gave one away and we still have more pie filling still to use.
Logan had lots of fun with his little people nativity, thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Knudson (and thanks for having us open it up early). Logan’s favorite part is of course the song the stable plays.
Logan carries the stable all over the condo and presses the button for “Away in the Manger” to start playing. It’s so cute!!
It was so fun to play and hang out all day together, Logan also opened his Christmas pj’s (thanks to GGM and GGD) and we read and watched about the nativity.
A perfect day to start Christmas!!
