I am a lucky woman to be able to celebrate the birthdays of both of my favorite guys in one month! A week after Logan, Matt turned the big 30. Like the long family tradition I grew up with, Matt chose his birthday dessert… homemade apple pie.
The last time I made apple pie was 6 years ago, Matt and I were first married and even though I followed the directions exactly, the pie turned out dry, the apples weren’t cooked and all the gooey pie filling was nonexistent. It is the only thing I remember Matt not being able to eat. So I did my research and voila!
I think Matt enjoyed his personalized pie… after dessert we went on a date to see “Inception” and had a blast! (Doesn’t Matt get more handsome every year!)
